What we are

Trident Labs Ltd is a UK mail-order retailer of at-home blood test kits and food supplements, and a publisher of health education content.

Trident Labs provides verified research compounds, diagnostic blood test kits, and nutritional supplements manufactured to stringent purity standards.

We are not registered with the Care Quality Commission, the General Pharmaceutical Council or the General Medical Council, because none of those registrations apply to what we do. Selling in-vitro diagnostic test kits and food supplements by mail order does not require them. Prescribing, dispensing or providing clinical care does — and those are precisely the activities we do not undertake.

What we will not sell

The following are outside the scope of this business, permanently and by design. Adding any of them would be a change of legal status, not a change of range.

• Prescription-only medicines. Under regulation 214 of the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, a POM may be supplied only by a registered pharmacy against a prescription from an appropriate practitioner. That includes testosterone, HRT preparations and GLP-1 weight-loss medicines.
• Controlled drugs. Anabolic steroids are Class C substances under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Supplying or offering to supply them is a criminal offence irrespective of how a seller labels the product.
• Unlicensed and investigational compounds. Any medicinal product without a marketing authorisation, including substances marketed as “for research purposes only”. That labelling does not change what a product is when it is sold to a consumer for human use.

If you have arrived here looking for any of the above, we cannot help, and we would encourage caution about any UK site that says it can.

The laboratory

Samples are analysed by County Pathology Ltd, UKAS-accredited to ISO 15189 (Ref 8421).

ISO 15189 is the international standard for quality and competence in medical laboratories. UKAS accreditation to that standard is assessed on the specific tests a laboratory performs, not granted to the organisation as a whole. The laboratory name and its accreditation number appear on every result report we issue.

Testing standards

Our kits are in-vitro diagnostic medical devices. They are UKCA or CE marked and supplied with instructions for use.

Our blood tests measure and report biochemical markers. They are not a clinical diagnosis and do not replace medical advice. Results should be evaluated alongside your broader health context.

Results are reported against the reference interval established by the analysing laboratory for its own methods. Reference intervals are method-specific: the same sample can fall inside one laboratory's range and outside another's without either being wrong. Always read a result against the range printed on that report.

Where a result is markedly outside the reference interval, the laboratory adds a comment recommending you contact your GP. We do not diagnose, and we do not advise on treatment.

Supplement claims

Supplements are foods, not medicines. They are not intended to prevent, treat or cure any disease, and every health claim on this site is one of the authorised GB claims, quoted as written.

Health claims on food supplements are governed by Regulation (EC) 1924/2006, retained in GB law. Only claims on the GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register may be made, and only in the wording the register permits or an equivalent meaning.

Our practice is:

• Every health claim on a product page is quoted verbatim from the register and labelled as an authorised claim.
• Where no claim is authorised for an ingredient — botanicals such as ashwagandha, whose claims remain on hold pending assessment — we make none, and we say on the page that we are not permitted to.
• We do not imply unauthorised benefits through product naming, imagery or testimonials.

Editorial standards

Articles in the library are written to inform, not to sell. Our rules:

• Every clinical claim traces to a named UK guideline — NICE, the British Society for Sexual Medicine, or the British Menopause Society — listed in full at the end of each article.
• Where evidence is genuinely contested, or a test genuinely cannot answer the question a reader is asking, the article says so.
• No article recommends a product the evidence it cites does not support. Routes to treatment point to a GP or a specialist, because that is where treatment comes from.

Advertising rules

Regulation 284 of the Human Medicines Regulations 2012 prohibits advertising prescription-only medicines to the general public. Our articles describe treatments — what they involve, how they are assessed and monitored — as education. They do not promote any named medicine, and no medicine is offered for sale anywhere on this site.

Our marketing is also subject to the CAP Code, which requires that claims about health products are substantiated and that testimonials do not make claims a marketer could not make directly.
